Color Play: Exploring Color Theory
This hands-on colored pencil workshop explores the basics of color theory, including color relationships, value, and simple color schemes. Led by artist Juan Sebastian Restrepo, participants will learn practical techniques like layering and blending to create depth and intentional color in their drawings. No experience needed—materials provided.
Personal Pour: Paint Your Own Wine Glass
In this hands-on workshop, participants will paint and decorate their own glass wine cups using specialty paints designed for glass surfaces. Guided step by step, you’ll learn basic glass painting techniques, simple design ideas, and tips for creating functional art you can use at home or gift to someone special.
No experience is required. All materials are provided, and participants will take their painted glass home at the end of the workshop. Light snacks will be provided; BYOB. This relaxed, social workshop is perfect for beginners, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy a creative night while making a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted wine cup.

Peter Jooren: A Vision Preserved
Discover art as meditation. Join us for a Guided Mindful Art Walk through the exhibition, where we invite visitors to linger with the legacy, noticing details and emotions you might otherwise pass by - honoring the artist's vision by engaging with it slowly and intentionally.
This will be followed by a printmaking session bridging the past and present: participants use the very blocks Peter carved, extending his artistic process into today. Each person who pulls a print keeps his practice alive and participates in the continuum of his art.

Capture the textures and spirit of the season in this hands-on plaster casting workshop with Studio Hue 53. Using natural foliage, participants will create sculptural impressions that preserve the subtle beauty of leaves, branches, and winter botanicals in plaster. Guided instruction will cover casting and finishing techniques that highlight nature’s delicate forms—resulting in timeless, artful keepsakes that celebrate the quiet beauty of the season.

Yesi will guide you step-by-step in how to transfer your image to the rubber block, carve out your design, and apply ink.
For this session, we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage. You’ll design stamps inspired by Latin American art, food and culture!

Artist @nicholegarciaa will guide the process of how the green plant transforms into blue. Guests will be dyeing a tote bag and handkerchief discovering their own process and designs! This month, we’re diving into the vibrant world of artist Alma Thomas! With spring right around the corner, her colorful and dynamic art is the perfect inspiration.
Alma Thomas (1891–1978) was a groundbreaking African American artist known for her vibrant, abstract paintings inspired by nature and the cosmos. A former educator, she gained national recognition in her later years, becoming the first Black woman to have a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum. Her signature mosaic-like brushstrokes and bold colors continue to inspire generations of artists.

Drawn to Love: A Valentine’s Day Figure Drawing PopUp
Calling all Lovers!
Join us for a captivating evening of artistry inspired by the timeless works of Sandro Botticelli at Studio Hue 53, in collaboration with Raw Figs Pop Up. Kindle your creative passion at our Valentine’s Day figure drawing event as we channel Botticelli’s divine beauty with live models posed to match the Renaissance masterpiece. This event is for loved ones, friends, and connections of all kind to celebrate creativity and the art within every form of love.
The figure drawing session hosted by Raw Figs x Studio Hue 53, with a nude models. We ask that minors please come with your parent/guardian or be sure to have our guardian consent form signed prior to attending.
We rely on your donations to keep Raw Figs continuing happening for the community so we may be able to purchase materials, pay the model, cover props and location costs, as well as paying our part-time employees.
Our drawing session will begin at 6:45pm and end at 8:45pm.
Materials are available for those that need on a first come, first serve basis, but we always encourage everyone to bring their own when possible.
