This workshop blends instructor guidance with self-directed practice, creating a curated studio experience designed to deepen your practice. We’ll explore gesture, proportion, structure, and light through a mix of short and extended poses with a live model in a focused, studio-style setting.
Open to both beginners and experienced artists.
Materials are provided — feel free to bring your own sketchbook and water bottle.

Free Trial Art Class (Ages 13+) with Angela Portillo
Angela Portillo leads our classes for students ages 13+. Students train using traditional art school methods, focusing on foundational techniques, discipline, and observational skills to build a strong artistic foundation and support portfolio development.
The free trial class lasts 30 minutes, after which parents can decide if they would like to register their child for ongoing classes.

Block Printing Workshop
We’re celebrating our love for pets with a hands-on block-printing workshop! Carve a stamp of your furry friend’s face and learn step-by-step how to create your own custom design. Then, use your stamp to personalize a tote bag right in class. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels and a fun way to make a one-of-a-kind keepsake of your pet.
To participate, please register and email a photo of your pet to yesenia@tefeldesigns.com by April 8. Yesi will create an illustration of each pet before the class to serve as your carving reference.

What is block printing?
Block printing is a method that uses hand carved wood, linoleum or rubber blocks to transfer ink onto paper or fabric. The hand carved block serves as a stamp that can create patterns. It is known as one of the oldest textile printing methods.

Shades of Indigo with Buenezas
Join us Saturday, April 25 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM for a hands-on Indigo Dyeing Workshop at Studio Hue 53.
In this immersive session, you’ll explore the rich cultural history and craft of indigo while learning the fascinating process of how the green plant transforms into a vibrant blue dye.
Artist Gabi from Buenezas will guide us through traditional techniques and creative experimentation, sharing her artistic perspective throughout the experience.
Each guest will dye their own tote bag and handkerchief, discovering unique patterns and personal designs along the way. You’re welcome to bring additional natural-fiber items to dye as well.

Personal Pour: Paint Your Own Wine Glass
In this hands-on workshop, participants will paint and decorate their own glass wine cups using specialty paints designed for glass surfaces. Guided step by step, you’ll learn basic glass painting techniques, simple design ideas, and tips for creating functional art you can use at home or gift to someone special.
No experience is required. All materials are provided, and participants will take their painted glass home at the end of the workshop. Light snacks will be provided; BYOB. This relaxed, social workshop is perfect for beginners, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy a creative night while making a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted wine cup.
