Ascension calls artists to create works that explore the spirit of discovery through the lens of aviation—both real and imagined. From the first dreams of flight to the cutting-edge technologies that carry us beyond Earth, aviation has always symbolized humanity’s drive to push past the known and venture into the extraordinary.

How does aviation inspire discovery? What new worlds are revealed when we dare to look upward?

This exhibition seeks artworks that reflect:

✦ The poetry and power of flight—its motion, freedom, and innovation

✦ Breakthroughs that changed our understanding of the world and opened new frontiers

✦ The relationship between humans, machines, nature, and the sky

Artists may interpret the theme through any medium—painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media, or installation. Works may be literal or abstract, historical or speculative.
