Pressed Into Autumn: A Botanical Clay Plate Workshop

Welcome the changing season with an afternoon of clay, flowers, and slow creativity.

In this hands on workshop, you will create your own decorative clay plate inspired by the natural beauty of September. Using seasonal flowers, leaves, herbs, and other botanical elements, we will press delicate textures and organic patterns directly into clay to create a one of a kind piece.

Working with clay offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, focus on your senses, and enjoy the simple rhythm of creating with your hands. As you roll, shape, press, and arrange your botanicals, you are invited to enjoy the process, experiment, and create without worrying about perfection.

We will explore simple hand building techniques, botanical impressions, composition, and surface design while allowing the natural shapes and textures of the season to inspire each piece.

Your finished plate can become a decorative piece, jewelry dish, keepsake tray, or a beautiful reminder of the transition into autumn.

A selection of seasonal flowers and botanicals will be available for creating your impressions.

Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

No previous clay experience is necessary. This workshop is open to ages 8 and above. Come spend a relaxing afternoon working with your hands, connecting with the season, and creating something uniquely yours.
