Papermaking Workshop with Gabi Buenezas
In this hands-on workshop, participants will turn recycled paper into beautiful, handmade sheets. Using simple molds and screens, we’ll break down reused materials into pulp and explore the process of creating paper from what already exists around us.
We’ll also experiment with botanical dyes made from locally available plants and paint directly onto freshly formed paper. Participants can embed flower petals into their sheets, adding natural color, texture, and unique patterns to each piece.
This workshop invites us to rethink paper through reuse while opening conversations about local fibers and their role in textiles, paper-making, everyday objects, and art.
