Fabric Plant Dye Workshop with Gabi Serra at Studio Hue 53 in Miami Springs

Come connect with plants, color, and community in this hands-on workshop led by Gabi Serra of Buenezas August 9th from 2PM - 4PM. We’ll spend the afternoon exploring the basics of fabric dyeing using flowers, leaves, bark, and seeds foraged from right here in South Florida.

You’ll get to try out two beautiful techniques: flower bundle dyeing and a plant-based tie dye method. Along the way, we’ll also talk about the patterns we’re creating and the natural properties of the plants we’re working with, from their colors to their traditional uses.

The workshop is $45 and includes everything you need. Each person will get two cotton pieces to dye and take home.

No experience is necessary. This is an introduction class, ust bring your curiosity and come spend time with others who love nature, creativity, and making things by hand.
