Green Hat Music School
Green Hat Music School provides private and group music lessons in Miami, using creative approaches to develop real musicality across every area of musician growth—technique, ear training, improvisation, theory, body coordination, performance, and ensemble work. We teach piano, voice, guitar, violin, trumpet, flute, accordion, and early childhood music in English and Spanish.
Mario del Risco
Mario del Risco is a Cuban-born instrumentalist and educator of music and martial arts. His artistic training and professional career developed in Argentina, where he moved at the age of eight. There he studied Licenciatura en Música, training in piano, guitar, violin, and trumpet under world-class artists. He has since expanded his range to include flute and accordion, and has performed professionally on all of these instruments.
With thirteen years of teaching experience, Mario is the co-founder of Green Hat Music School in Miami, where he guides students toward discovering their ability to play and create music.
Veronica Restrepo
Veronica Restrepo was born and raised in Miami, where she trained for over twenty years in piano and ballet as core instruments of her artistic practice, and continues to perform in both music and dance. She is also an interior designer and manages a wide range of creative projects.
Veronica combines her diverse training with a passion for helping others build expressive confidence. She is the co-founder of Green Hat Music School in Miami, where she works with students as young as two years old through spirited, intentional pedagogy.
Veronica and Mario
Veronica Restrepo and Mario del Risco are multidisciplinary artists and educators who work across music, movement, martial arts, performance, and interior design. Veronica, a Miami-born pianist and dancer, trained classically in both disciplines. Mario was born in Cuba and moved to Argentina at age eight, where he trained in piano, guitar, violin, trumpet, flute, and accordion. Being practitioners and teachers across multiple disciplines, they’ve developed a continuously growing understanding of not just individual skills, but of skill development itself. This foundation helps them create an out-of-the-box and adaptive approach to teaching. At Green Hat Music School in Miami, they guide students of all ages by celebrating the integration of multiple art forms to create well-rounded learners and lovers of music, learning, innovation, and collaboration.
