Art Fundamentals for Young Creatives

Art Class by Angela Portillo

Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums—beginning with graphite and progressing through colored pencils, watercolor, ink, and ultimately oil. Each medium represents a level, allowing students to build confidence and technique step by step.

Projects are thoughtfully assigned to match each student’s current skill level and are designed to strengthen their abilities as they advance through different mediums.

Students are trained in the classical, traditional art school method, focusing on foundational techniques, discipline, and strong observational skills. This approach builds a solid artistic foundation, preparing students for advanced work, personal artistic growth, and portfolio development for future academic or professional opportunities.
