Angela Portillo’s Classes

Angela Portillo's classes follow a traditional fine art curriculum designed to build strong technical skills through progressive instruction. Students begin with the fundamentals of drawing by learning grayscale values and completing foundational graphite studies. As they develop confidence and technique, they advance through increasingly challenging graphite projects before moving into colored pencil, watercolor, ink, acrylic, and ultimately oil painting. Each stage builds upon the previous one, allowing students to develop a solid artistic foundation while progressing at their own pace.
